Sat., June 10th SMMC headed to Great Escape Movie Theatre in O’Fallon (Winghaven), MO to display their Mustangs on Family Fun Day for the opening of the Disney/Pixar movie Cars. Great Escape is a new theatre that treated the club like royalty. Members had the opportunity to grab a couple of hours of A/C for a free viewing of the movie. Those that didn’t take in the movie were given free passes to see Cars at a later date. I think everyone agreed that it was a great movie filled with creativity. The popcorn, sno cones and sodas helped members enjoy the day. The movie theatre had family friendly events like remote control car racing, bounce house, raffles, etc. and the proceeds were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of St. Charles County. SMMC made a donation of $50.00 also to keep the spirit of community service. The representatives from the Boys & Girls Club were deeply touched and thanked the club for the surprise generosity. They assure us it will be put to good use.

The Show-Me Mustang Club was founded in 1986 by a group of Mustang enthusiasts to provide a medium for the exchange of ideas and information about the care and maintenance of America’s first pony car. The club has evolved from friendships and camaraderie into a large group of people of all ages who enjoy getting together to share stories, problems and dreams of their prized classic and soon to be classic Mustang.
